[Migrating review from old account. Visited 2019] Superb sandwiches! Large selection (making it very difficult to choose!) and what we had was absolutely delicious!! Prices pretty decent too, around €5/€6. 100% recommend, without question. If we are ever near by again, I'm sure we'll pay a visit!

Just tried to stay away from Vatican museum crowd and on our way to St. Angelo’s castle I found this place by searching for the sandwiches place with high rating. It did not disappont me except the back ground music of Taylor Swift. Bread was super fresh and warm and all the ingredients were incredible and excelllent Straciatella on my sandwish. Through my 16 days of Trip to Italy, I had the best sandwich here!

I loved everything about this place. The ingredients were fresh, Italian bread was awesome and the all of the sandwiches I've tried were incredibly delicious. I recommend Burrata if you haven't decided what to eat yet :) Also keep in mind that there could be a small line.

We have eyed this lovely looking place on our way out of the Vatican City after the Wednesday Papal Audience in St Peter Basilica, but the queue was long, and we grabbed something already. Really happy that we went back the next day - upon entering the store, something smelled really good welcome us, owners really pleasant, their paninis amazing 💛 Ordered the caprese and the burata, and we love every bite of ‘em 💛

Call in at Mordi if you’re after the freshest sandwiches, and a cold soft drink or beer, served by a wonderful owner. The variety of sandwiches is excellent. The burrata and sun-dried tomato sandwich is ‘chef’s kiss’. You can sit in and eat to get out of the sun for a little while, or take away on your travels. It’s a must stop after a long visit to St Peter’s Basillica.

Everything was so fresh and tasty, exactly what I needed after walking around the Vatican all morning! It was soo good, I ordered the Broccoletti Pizza to take back to the hotel with me and wow, the pizza was a 10/10! The owners were kind. Late review as I went back in Dec 2024, but my god I’ve been dreaming since then about the sandwich I ate here. So freaking delish and at such great value as well. Definitely recommend!!!

I had the best focaccia of my life. Burrata, arrugula, secati tomatoes and prosciuto. It was perfectly toasted, warm and savoury. A must have for sure.

Wow, the sandwiches live up to the hype. I got the Roman pork and my buddy got beef and cheese Panini with a Lemonata to drink. We each agreed these were one of the best sandwiches we’ve ever had. And the drink was a unique refreshing lemon flavor. A true 5 stars No seating there you’ll need to sit on the curb along the street.

Mordi makes the best sandwiches! Definitely grab a sandwich here if you are near the Vatican…or even if you’re not, it’s worth the trip. Plan to take it to go, not much seating. Enjoy!!

This place is a hidden gem right next to the Vatican. It’s quality competes with the best sandwich shops in Italy. We were very impressed both by the taste and the fresh preparation of our food. Very fair prices too!
